Conjunction adalah
kata atau kelompok kata yang digunakan untuk menghubungkan frasa(phrase),
klausa(clause), dan kalimat(sentence).
Conjunction
merupakan salah satu parts of speech. Conjunction juga disebut connective atau
penghubung.
Jenis-jenis
Conjunction dan Contohnya:
Coordinate
Conjunction mengabungkan item yang setara atau sama dalam suatu kalimat. Yaitu:

and, nor, but, or, yet, so
(supaya
mudah dihafal, ingat awalnnya FANBOYS)

penggunaan dalam kalimat:
I love
drawing and fishing
You can

fail.
The
weather was cold but clear.

Correlative Conjunction
Beberapa
conjunction berpasangan dengan kata lain untuk membentuk apa yang disebut correlative
conjunction yang berfungsi untuk menunjukkan hubungan antara
dua kata, phrase, atau clause.

Adverbial Conjunction
The
adverbial conjunctive such as however, moreover, nevertheless, consequently, as
a result digunakan untuk membuat hubungan yang kompleks antara gagasan atau ide
dalam suatu paragraf.
